A stroboscope is a device used to make a cyclically moving object appear to be stationary or slow- moving. It works on the principle that a light source (Xenon or LED) emits brief and rapid flashes of light, when the frequency of the flashes matches the frequency at which the object is moving, the object appears to be moving slow or stationary.
